This year marks the 10th edition of Rock the Blocs, which started in 2013 as a way for local developers to engage the bouldering community and share one of the largest and best bouldering areas in this part of North America. With support from all of you and climbers travelling from all over the country and even internationally, Rock the Blocs has become the largest outdoor bouldering competition in Canada. Now proudly brought to you by the Okanagan Bouldering Society.

This festival got its start in 2013 as a way for local developers to engage the bouldering community and share one of the largest and best bouldering areas in this part of North America. A huge thanks to everyone who came out to the Rock the Blocs 2022 bouldering festival over the weekend! It was great to bring back this annual festival and competition, after a hiatus of two years. This was our 8th time running the event, and the energy was higher than ever.

After a global pandemic, intense heat waves, and forest fire infernos, the Rock the Blocs bouldering festival in the Kelowna Boulderfields is back for 2022. Come check out all that has changed since our last event in 2019.

Due to some recent changes to the personnel available to run the event, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Rock the Blocs outdoor bouldering festival until September 2022.
